Airbus expects to deliver 520-530 commercial aircraft over the course of this year.
Chief executive Tom Enders gave the figure during an event hosted by the airframer in Toulouse today.
He adds that the book-to-bill ratio will be greater than unity.
Airbus says that it plans to recruit up to 3,000 people this year to cope with increased workload in its civil and military programmes. It intends to deliver more than 20 military aircraft.
