Airbus Helicopters has delivered an initial batch of rotorcraft to the Israeli police, part of a 2015 order for six new helicopters.

Procured by local contractor Elbit Systems, the first delivery comprises four H125 light-singles.

Designed to replace a current fleet of six Bell Helicopter 206s – the oldest of which was built in 1984 – the commitment also includes a pair of H145 medium-twins.

All six aircraft will be fitted with advanced mission computers and Israeli-made payloads.
