Chinese low-cost carrier Spring Airlines has picked the CFM International CFM56-5B engines for two Airbus A320 aircraft that it will receive in 2014.

The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in January and July 2014, says CFM.

A Spring spokesman was unable to confirm if these are orders for new aircraft or if they are part of Spring's existing order book.

The Shanghai-based carrier, which operates 32 Airbus A320s, has four of the narrowbody aircraft on order, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.
