Air Canada has extended its agreement with Gogo to install the provider's 2Ku in-flight connectivity service on its Bombardier CSeries CS300 fleet, with the system to be linefit during assembly.
The Canadian carrier has already installed Gogo’s satellite-based connectivity service across its mainline fleet. The new agreement means that more than 170 of Air Canada's narrowbodies and widebodies are now committed to 2Ku.
"By combining Gogo's 2Ku in-flight connectivity, giving customers the ability to work, be entertained and communicate in flight, and Bombardier's next-generation aircraft, we will be able to offer our customers a superlative level of onboard service," states Air Canada vice-president of product Andrew Yiu.
Air Canada has 45 CS300s on order, with options for an additional 30 aircraft.
