SANTIAGO, CHILE-BASED REGIONAL CARRIER Alta Airlines has begun operations with 19-seat Beech 1900Cs acquired from Raytheon Aircraft. Eight aircraft are to be in service by the end of September, and the airline has seven more on option. The aircraft are convertible to all-cargo configuration.
