All Nippon Airways (ANA) has signed a 10-year integrated service agreement with Honeywell to support the Japanese carrier's 50 new 787 aircraft.
ANA will be the first customer to take delivery of Boeing's newest aircraft, which is expected to take place in December 2010 or January 2011.
Honeywell will provide access to spares, logistics and repair service for the Honeywell equipment installed on the 787, including flight control electronics, navigation radios, crew information systems and interior/exterior lighting.
"ANA can focus on operating the aircraft leaving the management of spares, logistics, and repairs to Honeywell," says Pak Chin Honeywell Aerospace VP of Airlines Asia Pacific. "ANA avoids upfront investment costs of purchasing spares, minimized administration expenses and improved dispatch reliability."
