Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 14 for April 2012 as 15 new orders were offset by one cancellation.

The month was exceptionally quiet for commercial orders. Garuda Indonesia ordered 11 Airbus A330s while Russia’s Transaero Airlines placed an order for four Boeing 787s. The only cancellation of the month was a 787-8 which is destined to an undisclosed operator.

Overall, the order backlog for airliners ended April at 9,569, down 96 on the previous month.
