Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 196 for January 2013.

In the highlight of the month, American Airlines ordered 130 A321 neo aircraft while Republic Airlines ordered 47 Embraer 175s. Lessor CIT Aerospace also placed an order for ten A350s

Airbus new orders totalled 140, Embraer received 47 while Bombardier and AVIC totalled three each. Boeing and ATR received orders for two and a single order respectively.

Overall, the commercial aircraft order backlog ended January at 11,040, up 103 on the previous month.
