Korean carrier Asiana Airlines' operating profit slipped by more than 26% to W26.3 billion ($23 million) over the first quarter.

The airline has disclosed its performance in a first-quarter financial statement.

Asiana says revenues for the three-month period were up by 6.5% to W1.46 trillion.

The airline has just taken delivery of its first Airbus A350.

Asiana recorded a substantial improvement in net profit for the quarter, which doubled to W96 billion from the previous level of W44 billion.
