South Korea's Asiana Airlines plans to build a 110 billion won ($94.5 million) maintenance hangar at Seoul's Incheon airport.

Construction will start at the end of 2010 and will be completed by April 2013, says an airline spokesman.

The 63,800 sq m hangar can accommodate two large aircraft, such as the Boeing 747, and a smaller aircraft like the Boeing 767, he adds.

"We will use the hangar for our aircraft, but we might also take on contracts to perform maintenance on the aircraft of other airlines," says the spokesman.

The hangar will be Asiana's second at Incheon. Its existing hangar is smaller and has space for only one 747.
