Asiana Airlines is launching three new routes from Seoul Incheon to Lisbon, Cairo, and Melbourne over the winter season.

The Star Alliance carrier will operate twice-weekly flights to Lisbon between 28 October and 25 March 2020 using an Airbus A350-900.

The Incheon-Cairo service will run from 6 December to 28 February 2020, and Incheon-Melbourne, 26 December to 20 February 2020. Both routes will be operated weekly with Boeing 777-200s.

“We expect to further strengthen our European network and sales capabilities with new European routes,” Asiana adds.

Cirium schedules data shows that Asiana will be the sole operator on all three routes, and there are currently no direct flights from South Korea to Portugal and Egypt.

From Incheon, compatriot Korean Air flies four times a week to Brisbane, and competes with Asiana on daily flights to Sydney.
