Colombian flag carrier Avianca has signed a contract with Sabena Technics subsidiary Barfield for the repair of components in its fleet of eight Airbus A330s.

Barfield will perform tests, repairs and overhaul work on rotable components in the airline's A330 fleet - which will grow in size to 10 units over the next two years.

The A330 contract comes alongside a separate 10-year repair agreement with Avianca for its A320s, Barfield notes.
