BOC Aviation firms up 737 Max 10 order

Singapore-based lessor BOC Aviation has firmed up its commitment to order 10 Boeing 737 Max 10s made at the Paris air show in June.

The deal is valued at $1.25 billion at list prices, with deliveries commencing in 2021.

“We are pleased to be adding the Boeing 737 Max 10 aircraft to our future delivery pipeline, which offers airlines greater capacity combined with excellent operating costs and fuel efficiency,” says the lessor’s chief executive and managing director Robert Martin. “As a launch customer for the programme, this demonstrates the strength of our relationship with Boeing and will help us continue to deliver superior solutions for our airline customers.”

The latest order takes BOC Aviation’s outstanding orders to 348 aircraft, including 84 737 Max aircraft.

Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that, with the confirmation of the BOC Aviation order, Boeing now holds firm orders for 267 737 Max 10s, following a strong launch of the new variant at the Paris air show.

There are also a further 112 commitments for the type from seven customers, including Xiamen Airlines, Lion Air, CDB Aviation Lease Finance and SpiceJet.

Other lessors to have ordered the 737 Max 10 include Aviation Capital Group, AerCap and GECAS.
