Boeing remains committed to meeting its targeted specifications for the 787.

Speaking to ATI on the sidelines of the ISTAT conference in Phoenix, Boeing commercial airplanes director of marketing Drew McGill said the airframer continues to target a range of 7,650nm to 8,200nm for the 787-8.

"There is no change to that," he says.

Asked to address reports that some Chinese operators want to renegotiate early delivery slots due to concerns that the initial batch of 787s will not meet spec, McGill said: "We're not going to talk about specific customers."

From a general perspective, however, the poor economic environment has created a "dynamic" market whereby some customers are seeking to move up delivery of aircraft on order with Boeing, while others are looking to move deliveries back, he says.
