Boeing has announced a new order for 58 737 Max aircraft to an unidentified customer.

The order raises Boeing’s net sales of commercial aircraft so far this year to 491, keeping the company on track to sell as many aircraft as it delivers this year.

Boeing delivered 476 aircraft through 30 August.

The 737 and 787 programmes lead Boeing’s sales totals this year, with 358 and 78 net orders respectively.

Customers also have ordered 43 777s and 15 767s this year. The 747 programme’s order backlog has declined by three through the first nine months of the year.

Boeing plans to deliver 760-765 commercial aircraft in 2017.
