British Airways will resume flights between London Heathrow and Tripoli in Libya on 1 May.
The carrier will operate thrice-weekly flights on the route. BA suspended its Tripoli flights in February 2011 due to the civil unrest in the country that led to the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi from his seat of power.
The return of services between Heathrow and Tripoli follows a thorough security review in conjunction with the UK government and the Libyan
authorities, said the airline.
According to Innovata schedules, no other carrier currently operates service between London Heathrow and Tripoli airports.
