ABS APPROVAL

Czech business aircraft services provider ABS Jets has received authorisation to carry out maintenance of UAE-registered aircraft. The Prague-based company has obtained CAR145 approval to maintain Embraer Legacy 600 and Phenom 100/300 aircraft. Established in 2004, ABS says it is making a "massive" investment in infrastructure and facilities, increasing its capacity by building a new hangar at Prague airport and refurbishing its existing hangar.


STANDARD AGREEMENT

StandardAero has signed a 10-year agreement with Australia's Pel-Air Aviation to provide maintenance on the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42's engines that power its fleet of Beechcraft King Air B200s. The twin-engine turboprops are used to provide emergency medical services support for Melbourne, Australia-based Ambulance Victoria.


MEBAA MOU

The Middle East Business Aviation Association has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai World Central to develop and promote the region's business jet and general aviation sector. Under the agreement, Dubai will host and facilitate MEBAA's operations at its premises and jointly promote the rapidly growing industry throughout the Middle East. The move signals that Dubai will be the venue for the 2012 MEBA convention, says show organiser Fair and Exhibitions. A number of locations are under consideration, including Al Bateen executive airport in Abu Dhabi and venues in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.


CESSNA SUPPORT

Cessna is expanding the international ground-based mobile fleet that services its fleet of Citation business jets across North America and Europe. The new units are in Colorado and Indiana in the USA and Lyons in France. This unit will serve the fleet in southern France, northern Spain, northern Italy and Geneva, Switzerland.
