VIRGIN BLUE The carrier reached a "mutually satisfactory" and confidential settlement with its IT service provider Navitaire over a reservation systems outage last year that resulted in severe flight disruptions between 26 September and 6 October that may have cost Virgin Blue up to A$20 million ($20.7 million). That loss, plus rising fuel prices and natural disasters, will put the airline up to A$80 million in the red, pre-tax, for its fiscal year ending 30 June 2011.
