The Philippines' Cebu Pacific plans to increase its Manila-Kuala Lumpur service to daily from five-times weekly due to rising demand on the sector.

The Filipino low-cost carrier will operate an Airbus A320 on the route and says that the additional services will start on 16 September.

"Malaysia has always enjoyed a great demand from our Filipino travel market," says Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific's vice-president for marketing and distribution.

The carrier also has two weekly flights from Manila to Kota Kinabalu, capital of the East Malaysian state of Sabah.
