China's state-owned aircraft manufacturing sector has sold more Xian MA60 and Harbin Y-12 turboprops to the country's overseas allies, writes Leithen Francis.

Xian Aircraft, part of China Aviation Industry I (AVIC I), has sold two MA60s to Laos and two to the Republic of Congo. The 50-seat aircraft will be used for commercial passenger operations, says AVIC I.

Lao Airlines will continue to fly its two ATR 72s on international routes and its two 19-seat Harbin Y-12s domestically. Harbin is also reported to have delivered three Y-12s to Zambia, which has another two on order. China's news media says the five aircraft are to be used by the air force.
