Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics is in the process of completing a C-check on a Boeing 737 for South African carrier Comair.

FL Technics says the 737-800 – operated under Comair's budget brand Kulula – is undergoing a six-year check in Kaunas.

Chief executive Zilvinas Lapinskas states that the aircraft (registered ZS-ZWB) is the first to be serviced under an agreement covering "extended base maintenance services".

Comair's website indicates that the airline operates 16 737-800s – including seven leased ones – and 10 737-400s.

It has eight 737 Max 8s on order, Flight Fleets Analyzer shows.

Comair operates under both the Kulula brand and a franchise agreement with British Airways. Aircraft assigned to the latter role bear the UK carrier's livery.
