A customer in the Asia-Pacific has taken delivery of the first Daher-Socata TBM 900 in the region.

The single-engined turboprop was handed over to a corporate customer earlier this month, and will be based in Australia.

The $3.7 million TBM 900 entered service in March, replacing the eight year-old TBM 850.

The high-speed TBM 900 features a host of aerodynamic modifications, including winglets, a vertical tail-fin strake, a new tail cone and a five-blade composite propeller.

The airframer has delivered 15 of the six-seat aircraft so far, and has orders for 47 of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D-powered type.
