Dassault Aviation revealed today at NBAA that it is working on an all-new model for the Falcon family, with chief executive Eric Trappier confirming that the aircraft will be unveiled next year.

“We are using fully digital advanced design, with the 3D experience from [sister company] Dassault Systemes,” said Trappier.

He adds that the airframer is looking at composites as well as aluminium, adding that new aluminium materials are also “of interest”. He says: “Our goal is to reduce weight while also maintaining cost effectiveness.”
