• Boeing is to produce 400 Joint Direct Attack Munition laser-guidance kits for the US Air Force and 200 for the US Navy under its first production deal for the system, which is capable of striking moving surface targets. The manufacturer has received the first $2.8 million of a $28.8 million contract to cover production activities until June 2009.
  • Rafael has been selected to supply its Litening targeting pod to equip the Indian air force's Aeronautical Development Agency-built Tejas light combat aircraft. The order - of undisclosed value - covers the production of Litening systems for the service's initial batch of 20 production aircraft.
  • The US Air Force is to award Boeing a $49.1 million contract to provide continued engineering services in support of its B-52H bomber fleet. The company has also received $29.2 million to provide 120 replacement integrated weapon interface units for the aircraft by December 2011.
  • Honeywell has received a $13.6 million contract to produce 200 advanced multi-purpose displays for the US Navy's Lot 31 production build of Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet fighters and E/A-18G Growler electronic-attack aircraft. To conclude in December 2008, the deal also covers a display upgrade to the navy's Lot 26-28 F/A-18E/Fs.
  • Raytheon Aircraft has received a $51 million US Air Force contract to acquire long-lead production items for the Hawker Beechcraft T-6 Texan II trainer, in a move which the service says will mitigate schedule and cost risk on the USAF/US Navy programme until June 2008.
  • Pakistan International Airlines has sold three retired Fokker F27 airliners and associated spare parts to the Pakistan navy for $1.2 million. The service intends to use the aircraft as spares sources to support operations with its five F27 transports.
  • Lear Siegler Services has received a $14.4 million US Air Force contract to provide contractor logistics support for an Air National Guard overseas deployment of C-26 (Fairchild Metro) transports. The deal will conclude in August.
