CMC Electronics' PilotView electronic flight bag has been approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency for installation on Airbus A320 family aircraft, including the A318 Elite, Airbus Corporate Jetliner and A320 Prestige.

The supplemental type certification was developed by the French modifications and design company Aeroconseil. Air Mediterranée is the launch customer for the installation.

The PilotView flight bag is intended to improve productivity by facilitating pre-flight planning and access to aircraft documentation, checklists and flight planning information, and to boost in-flight situational awareness via approach charts, an en-route moving map display and graphical real-time weather information.

The range of business jets on which PilotView can be installed includes the Gulfstream GIV and GV and the Bombardier Global Express/5000/XRS. ATR and Dassault offer the flight bag as a standard option and it has been selected by Rockwell Collins for the Bombardier Global platform; by Embraer for the E-170/190 and Legacy/Lineage programmes; by Bombardier for the CRJ700/900/1000; and by Boeing for the B737NG and Boeing Business Jet.
