Nextant announced at EBACE that it has selected Marshall Aerospace as its exclusive authorised service centre for the 400XT/XTi in the UK.

The appointment is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its support network in Europe ahead of the arrival of US operator Flexjet later this year.

The fractional ownership company announced on 22 May that it will begin operations with a fleet of customised 400XTis that will be sourced from its current in-service fleet of 16 aircraft as well as new units from its outstanding order backlog.

“We have always believed the 400XTi was a perfect aircraft for Europe,” says Nextant executive vice-president Jay Heublein. “We have a fleet of 11 XT/XTis on the continent already, and it is proving very popular with operators.”

One of Nextant’s largest customers in the region is Czech charter provider TimeAir, which recently took delivery of its fourth 400XTi.

“TimeAir was the first customer to operate the 400XTi in Europe. They have built an exceptional business with the [light business jet] as the foundation of their management and charter programme,” says Heublein.

The 400XTi is a re-manufactured version of the Hawker 400/Beechjet 400A light business jet family. The seven-seat aircraft is a quieter and slightly roomier version of the 400XT – the first iterations of light twin – featuring Williams International FJ44-3AP engines and a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated flightdeck.
