Embraer and Hunnu Air have signed a parts pooling agreement, the Brazilian airframer announced on 8 August.

The agreement will cover access to parts and repairs for Hunnu Air’s leased Embraer 190 regional jets, which it is in the process of introducing into its fleet.

The Mongolian carrier, which operates mostly domestic routes, is leasing four E190s from CDB Aviation. It received the first aircraft in June with the rest expected to deliver in 2020-21, the airframer says.

Embraer notes that more than 40 airlines are using the pool program, which is designed to allow airlines to save money on inventory and plug into its network of service providers specialising in component repair.
