The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has awarded Embraer with a type certification for its Lineage 1000 executive jet, allowing the aircraft to operate in the country.

"It is exceptionally exciting news that the Lineage 1000 has received validation from CAAC, which is a strong recognition of our product," said Ernest Edwards, Embraer's president for executive jets.

Based on the E-195 airliner, the Lineage 1000 is Embraer's largest executive jet and can accommodate up to 19 passengers.

It is powered by two General Electrc CF34-10E7-B engines and has a range of 4,500 nautical miles (8,334km). The aircraft can fly non-stop on routes such as Beijing-Dubai and Hong Kong-Sydney.
