EU regulators have green-lit a planned component repair joint venture between Singapore Airlines' maintenance division and Moog.

The European Commission says that the proposal raises no competition concerns "because the joint venture will have no or only limited activities in the EEA [European Economic Area]".

SIA Engineering last year disclosed its intention to pursue the venture to create a Singapore-based shop for repair of Moog components on aircraft including the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.

Moog will have a 51% stake in the business.
