A liquid-crystal display upgrade for the Boeing 737 Classic developed by Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) has been launched by US aircraft management company Jet Partners, which has placed an order for 30 conversions and taken options on 30 more. The upgrade, which costs $380,000 per aircraft, includes five display units, two control display units and three data concentrator units. "We're in the certification process now and will deliver the first aircraft in our fiscal year that begins on 1 October," says IS&S president Roman Ptakowski. The company, which already offers 747 and 767 upgrades, is seeking a launch customer for its 757 cockpit modification and evaluating the market for the Airbus A300/A310 and Boeing MD-80.
