Finnair has secured financing for its fifth Airbus A350-900 using another Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO) structure.

The financing, arranged by BNP Paribas, amounts to approximately €128 million ($144 million) and covers an aircraft delivered to the Oneworld carrier at the end of last month.

“This transaction represents yet another successful A350-900 financing for Finnair, and the third we have done using this structure," says Finnair chief financial officer Pekka Vahahyyppa. "We are thrilled that financiers and investors are enthusiastic about the A350 as a long-term investment, since this aircraft type is the base from which we will continue to execute our growth strategy in Asia."
