Firefly, Malaysia Airlines' turboprop operation, is increasing its Singapore-Ipoh services to daily from four-times weekly.

The carrier, which will operate an ATR 72-500 on the service, says that the increase takes effect on 1 September. It adds that this is due to "overwhelming demand" on the sector.

Last week, Firefly postponed plans to launch services between Malacca and Singapore citing a need to focus on other markets.
