Overhaul firm FL Technics has secured approval from Russian authorities to perform line maintenance on Sukhoi Superjet 100s.
The company had already obtained approval for engineering support of the type from the European Aviation Safety Agency.
But FL Technics states that an “appreciable fraction” of the Superjets in service are operated by Russian carriers.
This new certification, it adds, enables the company to perform work on Russian-registered aircraft.
