The 24 January issue of Flight International is out now, with a "smiling" A320 as its cover star. The picture shows the first flight of an Airbus with the airframer's new sharklet wingtip devices and emblazoned with a shark's teeth motif.
David Kaminski-Morrow was at the annual Airbus/EADS new year briefing in Hamburg for our cover story. His piece outlines Airbus's plans to advance production to a target of 570 units in 2012, after a year in which the Toulouse-based manufacturer delivered 534 aircraft (combined with Boeing's 477, the annual tally broke the 1,000 mark for the first time).
