Gulfstream plans to produce 111 business jets in 2006, up from 89 last year, rising to 127 in 2007. Deliveries are sold out for the next year and a half, says parent company General Dynamics. Cessna, meanwhile, plans to deliver 295-300 business jets this year, up from 249 in 2005. With more than 290 orders, Citation production is sold out for 2006, and Cessna has a similar number of orders for 2007, says parent Textron.

Dutch investigators probing the fatal crash of a Blackshape Aircraft BK 160 are trying to determine whether external burn marks arose from an in-flight or post-impact fire.
Italian airframer Blackshape Aircraft is confident that the grounding of its BS 115 and BK 160 single-engined trainers will shortly be resolved, as it supports regulatory investigations into two accidents which triggered the decision.
