HAECO Americas will exit its line maintenance services segment in the United States, by end-2016.

In a statement, HAECO says its US unit will focus on its principal business, providing MRO services and cabin solutions.

“All global line maintenance locations outside of the United States, operated by the HAECO Group, will remain in service,” adds the MRO provider.

The news follows HAECO Americas’ construction of a fifth hangar at the Piedmont Triad International airport.

The 250,000ft2 facility costs $60 million and will be operational by the fourth quarter of 2017.

The new hangar will be capable of holding eight narrowbody aircraft, or two widebodies and two narrowbodies simultaneously.
