CAE's Barry Silver describes some of the mission scenario attributes of the company's new 3000 Series simulators, launched at the Heli-Expo show in Houston this week, in the two videos below.

Developed in part from full immersion technology developed for US military special forces, the 3000 Series features a CAE Tropos-6000 visual system with 220-degree horizontal by 80-degree vertical field of view presented on a direct projection dome that includes chin windows.

CAE is focused on mission scenarios, which can include oil and gas transportation as well as emergency medical services. The company says 25% of accidents occuring during training missions, a statistic it hopes to change with the 3000 Series.
