Spanish commercial satellite operator Hispasat registered a 3.4% increase in revenue to €187.5 million ($247.6 million) for 2011, owing mainly to the Amazonas 2 and Hispasat 1E satellites, launched in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Nearly half of the firm's revenues came from its satellite services to the Americas. Profits before tax were up 4% to €74.3 million.
