Austria's Diamond Aircraft has signed a deal with Horizon International Flight Academy for five DA42 NGs.
The twin-engined aircraft will join three DA42s and 13 single-engined Cessna 172SP when they enter service this year with the Al Ain, Abu Dhabi-based training provider.
The aircraft - powered by Diamond's Austro AE300 turbo diesel engines - will be used for commercial airline ab-initio pilot training and basic training for military transport pilots.
