Spanish budget carrier Vueling is to be overseen by Iberia finance chief Javier Sanchez-Prieto, following the departure of Alex Cruz to the top post at British Airways.
Vueling’s parent, IAG, disclosed the appointment of Sanchez-Prieto as it presented its full-year results.
He had previously served as chief financial officer of Iberia Express following its formation in 2012, before moving to Iberia the following year.
IAG has not yet named a successor to the chief financial officer role at Iberia.
