Singapore Airlines has selected Stelia Aerospace to design and supply business class seats for its Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A350-900s types. SIA will be operating the new widebodies on regional routes from 2018.

Of the deal unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Stelia’s Thierry Kanengieser, vice president cabin interior, says: “This is fantastic news for us. We are proud to enter into very close cooperation with Singapore Airlines, an industry trendsetter in passenger comfort and travel experience.”

Airbus Group subsidiary Stelia came into being on January 1 last year as a result of the merger between existing Airbus units Aerolia and Sogerma. The firm designs and produces business and first class passenger seats, as well pilot seats. With a turnover of euros 2 billion ($2.27 billion) and 6,100 employees.
