India's Jet Airways has disclosed that it is purchasing 75 additional Boeing 737 Max jets.

The carrier has informed the Mumbai stock exchange of the decision.

It states that it has "entered into another agreement" with the US airframer for purchase of an "additional" 75 of the re-engined aircraft.

Jet Airways has previously stated, in April, that it had entered into an agreement to take 75 737 Max jets.

It has not indicated, in the latest statement, the specific variant of the Max being purchased. All 737 Max aircraft are fitted with CFM International Leap-1B engines.
