Jet Republic has appointed training provider CTC Aviation to carry out its pilot and flight attendant selection.

The announcement comes as Jet Republic starts its training programme following unprecedented levels of interest from pilots. "CTC's bespoke selection process has been tailored to meet our needs and we are very impressed by their whole approach to ensuring they deliver a shortlist of candidates that truly represents the Jet Republic ethos," says Jet Republic training director Colin Rydon,

Jet Republic says it received its 2,000th unsolicited crew CV last month and will hire more than 500 pilots over the next five years, having ordered 110 Bombardier Learjet 60XR midsize business jets.

Selection for captains is under way and the first appointments will begin training shortly, with subsequent courses then running on almost a monthly basis.
