A Let L-410 crashed yesterday in Honduras, killing all 14 people on board.

The aircraft was operated by Honduran carrier Central American Airways, say reports. Airline officials could not be reached for comment, but the country's presidential office says the aircraft crashed near the town of Santa Ana.

Reports say the aircraft was flying from San Pedro Sula to the country's capital Tegucigalpa when it crashed.

Among those killed in the crash was the country's vice minister of public works Rodolfo Rovelo, says the presidential office.

The government has launched an investigation into the crash, it adds. Rescuers were searching for the aircraft's recorders, say reports.
