Bombardier's Belfast, Northern Ireland facility will undertake the development and production of the advanced composite wing skin panels and spar components of the Learjet 85 business jet.

The final assembly of the wings for the new midsize business jet - scheduled for service entry in 2013 - will be undertaken at Bombardier's manufacturing base in Querétaro, Mexico. The former Shorts facility will produce the wing structures and spar components using its resin transfer infusion process, now being developed at Belfast for the CSeries airliner.
