Russian operator Azimuth has agreed a further lease deal with state lessor GTLK under which the carrier will acquire two more Sukhoi Superjet 100s.

The agreement was disclosed during the MAKS Moscow air show.

Azimuth, which commenced operations two years ago, has a fleet exclusively comprising Superjet 100s.

The airline has nine of the type and the deal with GTLK means another will arrive in October, for introduction to service in November.

Azimuth says the delivery of the other Superjet under the pact is "planned for a later time". The carrier is based at Rostov's Platov airport.
