Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will launch thrice-weekly flights from Kota Kinabalu to Tokyo's Haneda Airport from 15 November.

Haneda will begin scheduled international flights from end-October after the opening of a fourth runway. The carrier already flies twice-weekly from Kota Kinabalu to Tokyo's Narita Airport.

Malaysia Airlines says that it also plans to increase its flights from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka Kansai from six weekly flights to eight weekly.
