Mitsubishi Aircraft has provisionally scheduled the maiden flight of its MRJ regional jet for 11 November.

The airframer states that the flight will be conditional on weather conditions and the technical status of the aircraft.

“In implementing the flight test, utmost priority will be given to safety,” the company adds.

It had previously planned the maiden flight for the end of October but a rudder-pedal problem prompted a postponement.

Mitsubishi has been conducting ground trials with the Pratt & Whitney PW1200G-powered twinjet.

Five flight-test aircraft are being developed by the airframer. Mitsubishi is intending the flight campaign to cover 2,500h of testing.
