AFI KLM E&M has signed a contract with Bolivia's TAB Airlines for the supply of a spare lease engine and an engine shop visit for the airline's McDonnell Douglas DC-10 freighter, powered by General Electric CF6 engines.

After TAB's contract with GE expired, it decided to give this work to AFI KLM E&M, says the maintenance provider.

The carrier had purchased an engine from AFI KLM E&M two years ago. "We were very satisfied with the high quality and excellent performance of the engine," says Luis Melean, maintenance director at TAB Airlines, adding that the AFI KLM E&M's reputation convinced the carrier to choose the maintenance provider again.
