Business aviation services provider Gama Aviation (booth N3305) is preparing to make its first foray into the Asia next year to exploit the burgeoning demand for business aircraft on the continent.

Gama Group CEO Marwan Khalek said: "We are building the foundations now with a view to getting established in Hong Kong in the first half of 2012." Hong Kong will be the company's fourth regional base, complementing operations in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

In preparation for its Asian offensive, Gama has secured an exclusive partnership with airline loyalty program Asia Miles to provide business jet services to its 4.1 million members worldwide. Asia Miles members can earn miles when chartering aircraft from Gama's global fleet and network to connect with airlines such as Cathay Pacific and Dragonair.

Meanwhile Gama has beefed up its Part 145/EASA repair station capabilities and market opportunities across its US bases in Stratford, Connecticut; Teterboro, New Jersey; and West Palm Beach, Florida. Each base now has the capacity to perform all line and base maintenance on a range of business aircraft, Khalek said.
